Years ago, I was at a party in Malibu and I met Sam Wennerstrom. She complimented me on my necklace and I think said something to the effect of, "I made it!" As they say, the rest of friendship history. Sam and I became fast friends and have watched our careers—and families—grow over the years.
When we first met, I had just started my line and Sam had started her blog, Could I Have That, which at the time, was just a hobby for her. I needed a lookbook model and she kindly indulged me, posing for pics that turned out to be some of my all-time favorites.
So I was pretty excited when Sam recently made a special trip down from Santa Barbara, where she's currently located, to catch me on one of my short LA stints. We may not get to see each other all that often, but we pick up exactly where we left off each and every time.
