Since the November election is right around the corner (November 3!!!), we wanted to partner with an organization that is on the ground making a difference. We're so excited to partner with I AM A VOTER. and create our new VOTER stud supporting their mission of creating a cultural shift around voting and civic engagement by unifying around a central truth: our democracy works best when we all participate. (We'll gladly donate 100% of each VOTER stud sold to I AM A VOTER.) Get yours here.

We caught up with some of the incredible women behind I AM A VOTER., including co-founders Mandana Dayani, Tiffany Bensley, and Natalie Tran, to learn more about their mission and the impact they're having.

We want all eligible voters to have the tools they need to show up on November 3rd.

What is the origin story of I AM A VOTER? How and why was it initially founded?
Mandana Dayani (co-founder): I am a voter was founded by some of the most brilliant women I have ever known. As an immigrant, I have always felt incredibly privileged to be an American, and I was really heartbroken seeing our country so divided the last few years. After making the decision to just dive in and learn what I could do to help, I quickly saw that there was an opportunity for a modern voting brand that really spoke to our generation. One that was positive, empowering, and more focused on what unites us. A brand that really captured how cool it is to be an active participant and maybe made you feel a little FOMO if you weren’t. And I knew that if I could get these incredibly talented and inspiring women together in a room, we could build a meaningful message and leverage our relationships and skills to create true impact.

What does the lead up to the November election look like for the organization?
Just reaching as large of an audience as possible. We want all eligible voters to have the tools they need to show up on November 3rd, so we are partnering with as many brands, businesses, leagues, and organizations as we can to do just that.

What does I AM A VOTER do with the funds raised? What does the purchase of a VOTER stud directly benefit?
The funds we raise go directly to supporting I am a voter. As we are all volunteers, for the most part the funds go towards running our text platform which is our primary means of getting voters registered.

What are the most critical voting rights elements that I AM A VOTER specifically seeks to address?
Most of our initiatives involve voter registration. One big issue the US faces is that people don't even know how to register to vote so we have created a simple way for people to do just this.

How is this election different than elections past that I AM A VOTER has been involved in?
There is more of a sense of urgency in this election. Given everything that is going on in our nation right now, it is up to us, as voters, to have a say in our democracy.

What does I AM A VOTER hope to achieve with their involvement in this election cycle?
Turnout. Our entire mission is centered around having people show up, so we really have done everything we can to make that happen in this election.
