A #BTS look at the making of our very first catalog.
A labor of love over 6 months, take a closer look at what went into putting it all together.
It may not seem like it—at least off the bat—but our first ever catalog was six months in the making! What was months of planning, prepping, producing, shooting over 3 days with a small-but-mighty (and Covid-safe) team, creating, writing, editing, proofing, etc., etc., somehow condensed into the 20 gorgeous pages you *hopefully* got in your mailbox this week. (P.S. if you didn't get yours and want one next time—oh yes, there will be a next time—scroll to the bottom of our Catalog page and enter your mailing address to be sure you're on the list.)
At first it seems so counter-intuitive that all of these digital brands are returning to old-fashioned catalogs, but I love that we're delivering these beautiful pages to our customers, and hopefully people who have yet to meet the brand. It's such a great way for them to get a closer look at what the brand is all about.
As you flip through the pages, and see in the pics, we went out of our way to make the pages of this first-ever catalog as bright and happy as we could...and it turned out exactly as we'd hoped. More than anything, we wanted these images to capture the joy that we believe AGJ brings into people's lives, and bring a smile to someone's day—something we could all use a little more of right now.
We spent so much time searching for the perfect line-up of models, and we love the combo of Milan, Ami, Brianna, Jo, and Frannie, that comes alive on the pages. We're especially crazy for the cover, with happiness radiating from Milan's infectious smile. Such a bright spot after such a dark year. The exact image of hope we were looking for.
So while there certainly will be more in our future, stick around and linger in our pages. Browse some of our favorite pieces and the standouts from the new collection. See all the gorgeous pics we've had for months and simply couldn't wait to show you. See what we've been working on for so (so!) long. We know it was worth the wait, and we hope you'll agree.
